Obituary Mrs. Jessie Torrance Schlesinger, a life-long resident of Kearny, died last Thursday at hom. She was the widow ofAlexander Schlesinger and the daughter of former Mayor Robert E. and Mabel Torrance. She taught in the Kearny school system for many years. A Memorial Service was held at Trinity Episcopal Church on Sunday. She was a charter member of the Evening Dept. of the Women' s Club of Arlington and a member of the Junior Auxiliary of the Memorial Center for Women, West Orange. Surviving are two brothers, Charles W. and William R. Torrance; three sisters, Mrs. Mabel T. Burns, Mrs. Ruth Ryan and Mrs. Elizabeth Staats.156
