Fond of music, reading, and company. Liked outdoor driving and sports. Interested in church and other people.28 There was a poem written in 1894 (according to the date written on the clipping I have) entitled "That Country Clock, or How the Cyclists Missed the 1051 Dedicated (with no apologies to Mrs. Chas. W. Rothe. Also in newspaper two clippings from May 14, 1891, Mrs. Charles Rothe was injured by a runaway horse. The name of the paper is unknown. Photocopies in my files.
