| 1309 Chandler Street died 1926 or 1937 Topeka, KS Obituary: Topeka, Kas. - Mrs. Nellie E. Drake died Saturday, July 2, at her home 1309 Chandler St., after an extended illness. She was born February 24, 1884 in Topeka, and live here all of her life. She was a graduate of Topeka highschool. She was the widow of Cord Drake to whom she was married in 1919. She was a member of the Antioch Baptist church. She is survived by two sister, Mrs. Georgia Ewing of Boley Okla., and Mrs. Mary Stewart of Kearney, N.J.; several nieces and nephews including Mrs. Lillian Dolly Rider and Robert Mason. Both of Topeka; one step-son, Bryant Drake of Topeka. Funeral services where held at 2pm Wednesday, July 28, at the Antioch Baptist church, with Rev. J.E. Neelon the pastor, officiating. For the scripture lesson he read the 90th Psalms. The eulogy was based upon Job 16:30, "All Men Must Make a Journey in a Few Years to Come." His subject was, "The Journey of Death" He said, "There is no round trip ticket to death which is (1) (a cutting) of woven threads; (2) the passing through an open door; (3) the journey which all must make. If we have Jesus, then we do not have fear for He is (1) our City of Refuge, (2) Burden Bearer and (3) He will take care of us when the storms of life are raging." 334 Willis Rider Head 34 Texas, Texas Texas Lillian D.
