Daniel migrated from Washington Co., PA to Allen Co., OH., where he entered 160 acres of land in Auglaize Twp. in 1835, 80 acres of which he sold on Feb 27, 1852, to Samuel I. Swain. Th remaining 80 acres was sold May 8, 1854, to Parker S. Baker. About this time he and his family moved to Linn Co., IA., where he died the following year. Rachel later m. William Winsor. Din. Farmer, Allen Co., O., and Linn Co., IA. Children: John, Susan, Mary, Daniel,578
The Orphan Court Dockett in December 1811 shows that Daniel chose John Leatherman as his legal guardian upon the death of his father.579 |
